Joining the Royal Scottish National Orchestra under Music Director Thomas Sondergard, and fresh from her Grammy-winning recording, Nicola Benedetti brings Wynton Marsalis's Violin Concerto to the Proms for the first time, with its electrifying fusion of the American bandleader's jazz influences and the Scottish folk music of the violinist's homeland.
