Orchestral pieces and solo motets by Vivaldi sit alongside music by Caldara - a famous castrato showpiece - and Geminiani, whose variations on the famous 'La folia' theme rival Scarlatti's, Lully's and Corelli's for rhythmic urgency and virtuosity.
