We’re delighted to welcome back pianist Rick Simpson, who first played here as a teenager in our Garden Bar series. Originally from Teesside but now based in London, Rick won a 2008 Yamaha-Classic FM Jazz Scholarship Prize and a recording by his band appeared on the cover disc of Jazzwise magazine. Alto saxophonist Martin Speake, has one of the most distinctive sounds in jazz. The band will be completed by Tom Farmer, from the award winning Empirical, on bass and Josh Morrison on drums.
