A rare opportunity to hear a performance of Schumann's Third Sonata, forgotten for over a hundred years. International violinist and broadcaster Ruth Waterman tells the story behind it and guides us through the music. Schumann's distinguished pianist wife, Clara, wrote her beautiful Romances in the same year (1853), her only composition for violin and piano.
