A spell-binding double-bill of Tuvan music by two of its most creative exponents. Tuva is a republic north of Mongolia whose singers create the most extraordinary music. Its strange and beautiful vocal traditions creates an amazing harmony with songs that celebrate nature, nomadic cultures and animism. These astonishing performances were the hit of WOMAD 1999. Sainkho is a vocalist of great creativity. Together with the four-piece band Yat-Kha, they take traditional Tuvan music in surprising and new directions.
