Sam Mangwana is one of the superstars of African music. Born in the Congo to Angolan parents his music epitomized the Pan-African ideals of post-colonial Africa. Never one to stand still, he has embraced a whole mix of musical styles, including Salsa and Hi-Life as well as his beloved Soukous (Congolese Rumba).
