25th Anniversary Concert
The Shrewsbury Police Choir was 25 years old in 2008, but in order that this significant anniversary could be celebrated in style, it was decided that their 25th Anniversary Concert should be delayed until the opening of Theatre Severn, when the facilities of a brand new theatre would be available to their audience. This choir has given 3 concerts at the Music Hall, each was a sell-out. The choir will be joined by the Hereford Police Choir, who recently featured on BBC 1’s Last Choir Standing, by the Gloucester Police Choir and the Shropshire Girls’ Choir. Also taking part will be two guest soloists: Iwan Wyn Parry, a hugely popular Welsh baritone who has performed all over the world, and Jessica Johnson, soprano, a Shrewsbury girl who has studied voice, flute and piano at Leeds College of Music. Proceeds from this concert will go to the Lingen Davies Cancel Appeal Auditorium
