The guest artist for the evening will be Alistair Donkin, for many years a principal in the D'Oyly Cart company, but now a freelance 'patter man' and raconteur. It is particularly appropriate for Dee and Alyn Gilbert and Sullivan to welcome Alistair to their Silver Jubilee concert, as his long-standing association with Society covers much of their 25 year history. The emphasis of the Jubilee programme will be on the enjoyment, humour and fun associated with the theme of 'Celebrations', and the evening will include excerpts from modern musical theatre as well as the operettas of Gilbert and Sullivan. In a diverse and imaginative evening, the Dee and Alyn Chorus and Principals under the direction of Enid Whittle will delight you with their musical excellence and their skilful and original presentation of the varied content.
