Sinfonia Cymru was formed by Musical Director Gareth Jones and creates a unique platform to launch young players into the music profession at the beginning of their career. Sinfonia Cymru is the national chamber orchestra of Wales. Founded by the renowned Welsh opera conductor Gareth Jones it performs programmes that are innovative, imaginative and stimulating. The programme features two of the greats of the concert repertoire: Mozart's Symphony No.41 ?Jupiter? is the last and greatest of his symphonies. This is paired with Beethoven's Violin Concerto in D major Op.61 played by the acclaimed young New Zealand born violinist Benjamin Baker. Sinfonia Cymru website.
