In this exciting nature-themed programme, Sinfonia opens with Neilson's Helios Overture - a triumphant depiction of the rising and setting of the sun. From this, two dramatic movements from Smetana's Ma Vlast - Vltava and From Bohemia's Meadows and Forests - will take the audience to a jubilant conclusion of the first half.
