Jamaican born opera singer. Internationally celebrated bass-baritone Sir Willard White pays tribute to Paul Robeson. Robeson's love of the people led him to work tirelessly as a campaigner for civil rights and was an integral part of his choice of repertoire as a performer. The programme for this event will include Negro spirituals, Russian songs, British folk songs, classic jazz as well as some Gershwin and Kern.
