The 26 performers of the Sound of Strings Music School come from the Iron Range area of the United States and ages range from four years to adult. The light classical music arrangements have been specially made for the group by its director Michelle Malhaus and this programme includes arrangements of folk songs and music by Mozart, Boccherini and Hammerstein. The mixture of violins, piano, guitars, flute, vocals and percussion create an entertaining and musically diverse concert sound.
