Steve Waterman is one of Britain's top jazz trumpeters, who studied at Trinity College of Music in London and played with both the European Community and National Youth Jazz Orchestras. More recently he has worked regularly with Andy Sheppard, John Serman, Tony Coe, Carl Bley, Victor Mendoza, Michael Garrick, Don Weller and Mal Waldon to name but a few. Steve teaches at the Royal Academy of Music, Trinity College of Music and the Wavendon jazz courses with John Dankworth and Cleo Laine. Presenting a star-studded quintet, as award-winning Steve Waterman (trumpet and flugelhorn) joins forces with the leading lights of British jazz to showcase the music of the great Gerry Mulligan. Featuring arrangements especially written by Steve, the band will perform Mulligan classics like Line for Lyons, Walkin' Shoes, Night Lights and many more. With Alan Barnes (saxes and clarinet), Gareth Williams (piano), Alec Dankworth (double bass), and Clark Tracey (drums).
