Collaboration beyond the frontiers? Qawwali is traditional Pakistani music and two of its brightest stars are Muazzam and Rizwan Ali Khan (Grand-nephews of the late, great Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan). Temple of Sound feature former members of Trans-Global Underground, famed for their funky Afro-Cuban and Latin grooves combined with tough urban dance beats. Now a unique collaboration between the two groups has created a new and dynamic voice. The result is majestic and enormously danceable, buzzing with deep loping rhythms, as sonic big beat meets the awesome pulse of Qawwali. Sparks will definitely fly!
