Presented by Wakefield Music Service. Tonight’s concert features some of Wakefield’s singing groups including Wakefield Youth Choir. The second half of the concert will showcase a singing project that has involved pupils from schools in Knottingley. This project has taken place over the last academic year and has been funded by Wakefield Music Services. Tonight you will hear a selection of the pieces the children have been learning, including the musical ‘Riversong’. This exciting musical describes the journey of a river from its source to the sea in song, poetry, chant and percussion.
