One of the best British soul/funk bands, The Brand New Heavies take their inspiration from the likes of James Brown, The Crusaders and Rufus. Label mate N'Dea Davenport was brought in as a singer and the band went on to score hits with 'Midnight At The Oasis', 'Dream on Dreamer' and 'Close to You', all from the massive 'Brother Sister' album.
