The Brothers Soul, Rhythm and Blues Review archiveFeaturing JOLIET JAKE BLUES (formerly William Smith-Eccles) and ELWOOD JAKE BLUES (formerly Mark John Moore) and the amazing 12 piece BLACK RHINO BAND. A welcome return for one of the best selling shows of 2000. In the mid nineteen eighties, long before the word "tribute" had been coined, two young men were preaching the gospel according to Dan Akroyd and the late John Belushi as the Blues Brothers in cabaret. Now regarded as the World's Greatest Tribute Show (and undoubtedly the most authentic) The Jake & Elwood's Blues Brothers Show's attention to details is quite extraordinary. By the nineteen nighties Bill Eccles-Smith and his partner Mark Ritchie were living the parts of Jake and Elwood with no stone unturned in their search for perfection. The movie was watched a hundred times, records listened to and magazine articles read until the fateful moment when Bill CHANGED his name by deed poll to JOLIET JAKE BLUES and became the first person to wear Raybans on a UK passport photo. Now Bill's new partner of over two years, Mark John Moore, is the second and last person to wear sunglasses on a UK passport. Definitely the last as it is now publicly known that this is not acceptable! Joining the Blues Brothers are an amazing 12 piece band voted "The Hottest Soul & Rhythm & Blues Band in Europe". This is The Way It Is, the Way It Was, And the Way It should Be.
