String - T0202063257

String will be created by Lucy Bailey and composer and jazz pianist, Django Bates, with lyrics and texts by the stand-up comedian and poet John Hegley to be performed by seven string players. The piece is about the secret life of a piece of string. The mystery thriller will delve forever deeper into it''''s magical properties - starting with its domestic manifestation and arriving at the most mysterious and revolutionary concept of the cosmos ('string' theory), where all matter is generated by the vibrations of microscopically tiny loops of energy. The story of string starts with one of the performers taking a tiny piece of string out of his pocket...The evening will include several tasters of the show in its early stages, as well as words from the collaborators about the inspiration for the piece.
