This year's Barrow Proms has been radically updated to reflect the ever-changing trends in popular music, which will provide a fresh new look to the concerts, whilst retaining the original flavour of the Proms which makes them so popular. With the current popularity of artists such as Carlos Santana and Ricky Martin, this year's Proms will pay tribute to their Latino-style music. The re-vamped Proms Orchestra will continue to highlight the range of music talent currently performing in the Furness Peninsula under the excellent direction of Tony Drummond, and this year's Proms will once again provide an excellent platform for the wonderful vocal talents of Vanessa Pirie, who will also compere this year's show. Presenting the very young and talented Paul Day and the beautiful and charismatic Karen Shaw, together with a host of other talented musicians and vocalists, this year's Proms promise an evening of high quality music and entertainment for you to enjoy.
