Britain's premier Chamber Ensemble. For the final event of this year's Winchester Festival, the Theatre Royal will be hosting chamber music royalty in the form of the Nash Ensemble, a group that is as flexible in line-up as it is masterly in performance. Starting with three players in Haydn's carefree Trio that concludes with the 'Gypsy Rondo', they progress to four in Brahms' ebullient G minor Piano Quartet, before expanding to five for Schubert's beautifully melodic 'Trout Quintet'. A dream programme of music for a Summer Sunday, this is bound to be a popular concert.
