Vasko Vassilev leads The Soloists of the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House in two of Franz Schubert's greatest quintet masterpieces. Renowned for his lyrical poeticism and outstanding virtuosity, International prize-winning pianist Artur Pizarro joins the ensemble to perform Schubert's Piano Quintet, Op 667 'The Trout'. This Schubert double-bill of two of his most well loved works is completed by the powerful String Quintet in C, Op.Post 163, D956, repeated by popular request after an acclaimed performance during the 2001/2 season.Conductor Vasko Vassilev.
