The Treehorns deliver a sound that reflects a love for honest, traditional song-writing. Influenced by artists such as Tom Waits, Gomez and The Waterboys, the band infuse sounds of blues, folk-rock and country to provide a modern projection of traditional music in an indie setting. With songs that contain themes including localised observations, disillusionment with modern life and characters that pursue a travelling life-style, The Treehorns have been compared to artists such as Bright Eyes and Neil Young.
