One of the most influential bands ever to emerge from the British pop scene of the sixties. The Yardbirds racked up four top five hits, but are known as much for their guitarists as for their music - Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page all served their time in the group. Creating modern rock music out of the twelve bar blues, modern artists from Aerosmith to David Bowie and Nirvana have claimed the group as inspiration.
