The 95 strong Youth Orchestra of the Netherlands (YON) make their first visit to AIYF with a wonderful reputation and exciting performance repertoire under the baton of Jurjen Hempel and with cello soloist Pieter Wispelwey. With music including Adagio for Orchestra by Otto ketting, Ernest Bloch's Schelomo: hegraic Rhapsody and Symphony No. 1 Titan by Gustav Mahler this promises to be a concert of the highest quality.
