Tom Hingley is ex-frontman of one of the most influential bands to come out of Manchester, The Inspiral Carpets, a band that had over sixteen top forty hits. As well as maintaining a successful solo career, Tom now fronts new band, The Lovers, featuring members of The Fall. The Lovers play a brand of low-fi garage punk/rock with a slight political edge to their music with distinctive vocals and raw, bass-heavy, sound.
