The most gifted jazz musician ever to emerge from Scotland, saxophonist Tommy Smith was signed to Blue Note Records in 1989 at the age of twenty-two and catapulted to the attention of a world-wide audience. Since then, fifteen albums have established him as a major force in British jazz and a respected composer of both jazz and classical music.
