Details

Under the Dark Cloth archiveUnder the Dark Cloth, first performed at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, is a concert of songs written by Duke Special, based on the photographs of Stieglitz, Steichen & Strand. The idea for the concert came in New York in March 2010 when Duke Special was asked by Jeanette O'Keefe and Ashley Williams to visit them at the Metropolitan Museum, following one of Duke's performances. There it was proposed that Duke might collaborate with the photographic department of the Met to create a score of songs that would accompany an upcoming exhibition featuring the work of Alfred Stieglitz, Edward Steichen and Paul Strand.
