Verdi, who mainly composed operas, was one of the most influential composers of the nineteenth century and his works are still performed throughout the world. Viva Verdi! is a celebration of the works of Giuseppe Verdi marking the bi-centenary of his birth in 1813. London Festival Opera return to the Theatre Royal with a programme featuring highlights from some of the composer's greatest works including Rigoletto, Il Trovatore, La Traviata, Don Carlos, Il Forza del Destino and the Messa da Requiem.
