The Walmsley String Quartet will perform music by Haydn, Schumann and Part. Projects have included recording for the BBC Radio 3 documentary Between the Ears - the Scalpel and the Bow, and performing Ligeti's Quartet No. 1 at the Purcell Room as part of the Woven Words: Lutoslawski Centenary 2013 series. All four members are enthusiastic chamber musicians, and their interests encompass an extremely wide range of musical genres. They look forward to continuing to explore the quartet repertoire together.
