In 2006, Yubiwa Hotel premiered the extraordinary
Candies - Girlish Hardcore at Chapter. Director Shirotama Hitsuyija returns to present the group’s latest show, engaging with the notion of "exchange". Since founding Yubiwa Hotel in Tokyo in 1994, Hitsuyija has created more than 40 works performed in warehouses, a tennis court, strip clubs, galleries and other unconventional places. The company’s work brings many views and images of women, society and the world, played out through fascinating scenes that captivate through repetition, peculiarity and time.
