This engaging programme includes ?Article 1', a new work by Alesandra Seutin for 12 dancers. With her vision of fusing African traditional dance with contemporary dance and urban forms, Seutin creates distinct Afropean dance theatre from a feminine perspective. In contrast, acclaimed British talent Gary Clarke works with 7 dancers, combining daring physical theatre with quirky and visually striking choreography. 'Bitter Suite' is a fast, furious, highly-charged yet incredibly touching portrayal of human relationships. Antonia Grove, Critics Choice Award winner and Artistic Director of PROBE creates a dance for 5 dancers, utilising the skills and individual qualities of the performers to create a piece which could stand, walk or run in any direction. The triple bill also includes a curtain-raiser performance from Lancaster's Ludus Youth Dance Company.
