Details

Waqt is a new dance production choreographed and directed by Guari Sharma Tripathi, one of the world's leading exponents of Kathak. This is the first time she tours the UK with a full-length show featuring UK and India based dancers and live musicians. The piece, partly inspired by Javed Akhtar's poem of the same name, explores the rich resonance of Kathak, in its rawest forms. The performance features music by Niraj Chag and live vocals by Reena Bhardwaj. Other renowned performers include Sanju Sahai on Tabla and Soumik Datta on Sarod.
