Bumming in Beijing, From Soho to Shinjuku - Bi Ma Dance Company presents two new dance works bringing together the restless energy, excitement, fashion and street life of three cities - Beijing, Tokyo and London. Fast-paced and street-wise, Bi Ma's four dancers take the audience on a global youth culture trip from a Soho club to the streets of Tokyo. With fashion design by Dexter Wong and Kevin Chow and a new score by Belgian Geert Waegemann, Bi Ma offers neon-lit images of changing pace, shifting identities and uncertain values. Prakritti - celebrates the essence of the classical dance form of South Asia, Bharata Natyam, asserting its enduring relevance in the modern world.
