Sakoba Dance for All, together with its sister company Sakoba Dance Theatre lives and works in a multicultural society in which dance is a key expression of culture. Sakoba operates on the assumption that the richer the fusion of cultures within society, the richer, more interesting and more relevant the dance can be. Sakoba serves as a role model for all the participants in the workshop by giving them positive attitudes towards each other regardless of such matters as gender and race, without any segregation through dance. Sakoba’s Youth Festival brings local schools together and gives the students the opportunity to perform in a well established venue. Having worked with Sakoba’s team leading up to the Festival, the participants will perform a work specifically created on them by Sakoba members.
