Echo and Narcissus - T0932228890The Linbury Studio Theatre hosts two exciting new ROH2 dance theatre commissions. Choreographer [Cathy Marston] and composer [Stuart McRae] make for an impressive line-up of top talent, blending dance, opera and live video to explore the themes of the famous Greek myth from Ovid's Metamorphoses, Echo and Narcissus. Australian performer and choreographer [Liz Lea]'s style crosses continents. She trained both at London Contemporary Dance and in India, and her work is a fascinating exploration of the boundaries between East and West. The music is by New Zealand composer John Metcalfe, whose work includes string quartets and pop hits - a near parallel to the cross genre fusions of Lea. Approx. running time 1 hour 30 minutes.
