Production details

A programme celebrating the work of Shobana Jeyasingh Dance Company as a creative presence over the last 20 years through a specially staged event of dance, film and words, including a dialogue between the choreographer and Yasmin Alibhai-Brown. The evening includes a full performance of Bruise Blood, Jeyasingh's explosive collaboration with Southbank Centre Resident Artist and champion beatboxer Shlomo and composer Glyn Perrin, in a radical remix of Steve Reich's classic Come Out. Jeyasingh's choreography ranges from mesmerising ensemble work that totally dominates the stage to intimate and evocative duets and trios. Alchemy Festival - Queen Elizabeth Hall
