Cocorico

CocoricoT137870581
Cocorico showcases the talents of two of France's best-known comic performers. Skilled shadow-play, sophisticated music-comedy, a nod to Spaghetti Westerns and the Tour de France are just some of the production's highlights as Patrice Thibaud spars with Philippe Leygnac in a very Gallic battle of temperaments. Not only very funny, Cocorico is almost lyrical in its evocation of our hopes, failings, tics and habits. Age guidance: 7+

Production details

London Premiere. Patrice Thibaud's career includes TV and film, and roles in many of J?r?me Deschamps and Macha Makeieff's wordless comedies in one of which, Les Etourdis, he first worked with Philippe Leygnac. He recently starred in the title role for Jos? Montalvo's production of Don Quichotte at the 2013 Edinburgh International Festival. Originally a designer, Philippe Leygnac is a composer/arranger and multi-talented musician. Played out in a series of improbable, exquisitely executed routines, Cocorico is physical comedy at its very best. Running time: 80mins with no interval. Purcell Room. Part of the London International Mime Festival (LIMF)
