Details

Sir Robert Cohan (1925–2021) was an artist who changed the landscape of dance, inspiring generations of dancers, choreographers and composers. This special event invites audiences to experience works that Cohan entrusted to Yorke Dance Project during their celebrated eight-year collaboration. The duet from Cohan's much-loved, Monet-inspired Nympheas (1976), Canciones Del Alma (1987), Lingua Franca (2014) and his last major group work Communion are performed alongside films of his last works for the Martha Graham Company and Yorke Dance Project. Guest artists from The Royal Ballet and Martha Graham Dance Company join YDP dancers for an evening honouring the enduring legacy of this eminent and much-loved artist.
