Zombie Aporia - T026173598Zombie means living and dead. Aporia means logical contradiction. The title of choreographer and performer Daniel Linehan's latest work is a hybrid of two words that have never been joined together before - not according to Google anyway. In Zombie Aporia, Linehan sets out to create unusual hybrids; musical rhythms colliding with opposing dance rhythms, or physical manipulations that result in the distortion of the voice. The audience are left with the proposal that no aspect of a performance can exist in isolation. Running time: 50mins (no interval) | |

Montage for Three - T797689146After a recent relocation to the world-renowned PARTS research centre in Brussels, he makes his London debut with the fascinating duet, Montage for Three and the acclaimed solo, Not About Everything. Montage for Three uses a collection of projected images alongside two dancers, who attempt to reproduce the movement captured in the photographs. By attempting to give life to the static, the images begin to take on a life of their own in a clever manipulation of the viewer’s perspective. Not About Everything opens with a single body entering the stage and beginning to turn. At first gentle, the turning gradually transforms into a relentless gyratory motion as Linehan takes on multiple simultaneous tasks. Speaking, thinking, reacting and addressing the audience throughout, he creates a dance that is both funny and complex.Lighting Ise Debrouwere. Lighting Joe Levasseur.
