Disruption: A Fashion Performance
T0
Fashion, music and dance are brought together for this spectacular fashion-in-motion performance inspired by the current Barbican Art Gallery exhibition Future Beauty: 30 Years of Japanese Fashion and the diversity of East London. This one off-presentation will take over and transform the Barbican Centre. Disruption showcases bespoke designs created by young people from East London, worn by hip-hop dancers Bluez and Da Bratz and presented in a new piece of choreography. The original music for the performance is composed and recorded by experimental group, Jetsam, and a specially-commissioned stage set created by leading architectural and interior design practice tp bennett and constructed by Overbury - a major fit out contractor - will create the stage for this unique event.
