EDge is the Postgraduate Performance Company of London Contemporary Dance School. The company is made up of dancers on the cusp of their professional careers. Immerse yourself and your pupils in the energy and skill of 14 exceptional dancers as they perform unusual work by a collection of new and award-winning choreographers. Featuring a selection of dance from three freshly created works by Tony Adigun, Patricia Okenwa, Karen and Allen Kaeja and Strange Blooms, a restaging of the Shobana Jeyasingh creation that explores the anatomy of plant cells under a microscope. Prepare for your pupils to question their expectations and discover their love of dance. This matinee provides an opportunity to experience live dance in a theatre with a supporting introduction by dance education specialist, Peter Laycock. This inspiring experience is a must for any Key Stage 2+ groups wishing to see accessible contemporary dance in a relaxed environment.
