After leaving her former profession sending off departed souls last week, the Kentish Town-based ex-film maker is organising a new dance event called "energise your soul". The event, which features Djembe drummers and DJs playing funk, dub basslines and ethnic groove, aims to celebrate life through dance. It is a community project with the emphasis on fun - the proceeds of which go to Camden Mentoring Plus, where professionals help socially excluded youths in the borough. The 42-year-old, whose sister is film and television actress Amanda Donohoe, says her past as an eco-friendly funeral director at Kentish Town-based Green Endings, made her take stock of her own life, health and values.
