Violin and Rope
Violin and Rope is a collaboration between two of Britain's leading performers in their fields, violinist Simon Blendis and aerialist Gisele Edwards. Using music by Bach interspersed with new pieces by composers from jazz (Dave Brubeck), folk (Pete Cooper) and classical (John Woolrich) traditions, the performance is an original and ground-breaking exploration of ways in which the three-dimensional movement of the aerial artist can become an organic expression of live music.
