Since he burst onto the scene in 1996, Henri Oguike has become a leading force in dance. Combining technical virtuosity with the immediacy of live music, his work has won numerous awards and given a creative blood transfusion to the world of contemporary dance. By turns thundering and gentle, visceral and flirtatious, the work of this dynamic young company. Melancholy Thoughts - is a work for six dancers set to Astor Piazzolla's Histoire du Tango. Shot Flow - is an exciting new duet which explores the relationship between two people governed by their environment, with physical and emotional energy reacting to shifts of rhythm, disturbances and interruptions in their surroundings. With a rising score by fast-rising Portuguese composer Pedro Carneiro, this duet blends music, light and movement in a sexy, almost cinematic drama of fluctuating emotions.
