A week-long residency from award winning choreographer Jean Abreu and his company featuring collaborations with guest artists and audience interaction. Over the course of the week, East End based, Brazilian born Abreu brings his multilayered influences and interests to the area of London that lies at the heart of his inspiration. A true rich mix of performances, street processions, choreography, photography, installations and international collaboration work as well as an exclusive ‘choreographers cut’ of his acclaimed work INSIDE specially adapted and styled as an interactive experience for Rich Mix. The week will climax with a special party event on 11th June. Jean Abreu graduated from the Laban Centre in 1999, choreographed his first work in 2003 and quickly became One of Britain’s most eagerly watched choreographers; Jean’s work has toured throughout the UK, Europe and Brazil. He won the prestigious Jerwood Choreography Award in 2003 and his shows Aequus (2007) and Inside (2010) were both sell out sensations at the Edinburgh Fringe.
