Chilean born Jose Vidal studied anthropology and sociology before training in dance in the US. His Inventario is a game played between performers in which the audience is charged with discovering the rules. As the work unfolds it reveals intimate relationships and flowing narratives. Originally created for The Place Prize 2008, The Kiss is Vidal’s technicolour take on cinematography. Glimpses of relationships emerge from the dark, creating ephemeral, fleeting images that are gone in the blink of an eye.
