Roma
Acclaimed up and coming contemporary dance company Lo-Giudice Dance bring their new and highly charged creation ROMA to our Theatre. Delving into the exploration of the human body and soul, ROMA explores a physical and psychological world of religious iconography, the quest for love the fear of the demonic. For Lo-Giudice ROMA is about questioning how one fits into his heritage. Lo-Giudice has used dance to portray the body as an object of perfection and a tool for sin. Through the development of this work he has explored the ideas of love and longing, conflict and harmony in a quest for spiritual redemption. ROMA draws its inspiration from choreographer and ARC Associate Artist, Anthony Lo-Giudice's own Italian upbringing and explores movement through compositions of religious, societal, cultural and also personal contexts. ROMA fuses dance and theatre performance together to deliver a highly physical yet intimate performance. Running time: 50mins. Age 16+
