Performance group from this world famous school. For the past fourteen years the Collaborations series has been a landmark of the LCDS performance calendar. These evenings showcase the culmination of three parallel projects in which third year choreography students from LCDS are matched either with design students from Wimbledon College of Art, composers from Guildhall School of Music & Drama or film-makers from London South Bank University. The pieces that emerge are a bold and imaginative mix of ideas: the design work ranges from large scale constructions to innovative uses of the theatre itself, the music pieces are an assortment of live ensembles and electronic scores whilst the newest collaboration investigates the relationship between the body, camera, movement and montage. The work challenges the roles of dancer, musician, designer and film-maker. Duration: 90mins
