Sadler's Wells Associate Artist Jonzi D presents a triple bill, including his acclaimed solo work The Letter, new work Broken Lineage and BLAKE REMIXED. Exploring the responses to being offered an MBE, Jonzi D's THE LETTER examines this sensitive subject through the eyes of an animated cast of characters and an original score played live by Kwake Brass of the Speakers Corner Quartet. BROKEN LINEAGE is a newly commissioned collaboration with Ivan Blackstock (Bird Gang Dance Company), exploring the broken lineage between the old skool and new skool hip hop generations, bringing Jonzi's unique perspective and trademark wit and style. Blending his love of British hip hop with the poetry of William Blake, BLAKE REMIXED is a new show being developed with acclaimed Leeds rapper and Guinness World Record holding beatboxer Testament aka Andy Brooks. From teenage years spent taping the Radio 1 Rap Show to performing live in front of thousands of people, this is a coming of age story with a difference.
