Using five opera singers, two dancers and interactive video projection (designed by Adam Young), Manga Sister tells the story of Gerald, a man trapped in a ?care home where the only treatment he gets is abuse and a constant flow of drugs from the nurses. Gerald s only escape is through a cartoon, Manga Sister, in which Taisho, a small girl, is repeatedly attacked by her elder brother, Taiko. The cartoon always ends the same way - Taisho is killed only to be reborn at the beginning of the next episode. One night Gerald and Taisho are thrown together to avenge each others tormentors...
